In-Store Layaway Program Terms

Eligibility

Select items and transactions are available for the layaway program with a minimum purchase of $4,500 CAD (before tax).

A maximum of two (2) items may be placed on layaway at one time.

Deposit Requirements

A minimum 30% deposit is required and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

The deposit for the item(s) of interest must be received by end of day (6 PM EST) once the layaway agreement has been established, unless stated otherwise.

Items will not be held without a confirmed deposit.
While arranging layaway, availability is not guaranteed.

Product Condition & Responsibility

Luxury Finds Consignment operates as a pre-loved marketplace, and items are limited in quantity.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm:

  • Item condition
  • Inclusions (e.g. packaging)

Once a deposit is made, it is assumed the buyer has fully confirmed and accepted the item’s condition and details.

Payment Terms

The remaining balance must be paid within 4–8 weeks, as agreed upon.

All arrangements are case-specific and confidential.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • EMT transfers
  • Credit cards (subject to a 5% processing fee per transaction)

Failure to Complete Payment

Failure to complete payment by the agreed date will result in:

  • Forfeiture of all payments made (including deposit)
  • Loss of the layaway item

The item will be released and made available for sale.

Payment Responsibility

The buyer is fully responsible for communicating any delays.

Missed payments without communication may result in:

  • Forfeiture of deposit and item

Restrictions

  • No cancellations, refunds, exchanges, transfers, or store credit
  • No switching items once on layaway
  • No transferring deposits between items or individuals
  • Additional items will not be approved until existing layaways are paid in full

Additional Costs

Shipping, insurance, duties, and tariffs are not included unless otherwise agreed.

A 30% restocking fee applies to reselling items purchased from LFC.

Legal & Final Terms

Failure to read or understand these terms does not qualify for any compensation or exceptions.

All items are subject to applicable taxes.

Luxury Finds Consignment Ltd reserves the right to modify or decline layaway terms at any time without notice.
